GLOBAL DRONE TRAINING (GDT)
Term Sheet for General Visual Line of Sight (GVC) & A2 Certificate of Competence (A2 CofC) Renewal Product
1 GENERAL
1.1 This Term Sheet refers to the purchase of any Certification Renewal Product from GDT and includes by incorporation GDT’s General Terms and Conditions as may be found on GDT’s website. Where there is any conflict between this Term Sheet and the General Terms and Conditions this Term Sheet prevails.
2 PRICE AND PAYMENT
2.1 For purchases made online from GDT’s website the price and VAT stated on the website, and any other applicable costs, shall be paid in advance.
2.2 For purchases made other than by GDT’s website the price shall be as stated on a quotation/invoice provided by GDT and payment or a purchase order shall be required to confirm the product booking. If a purchase order is provided to confirm a course booking, payment shall be due within 30 days of the date of receipt of the invoice supplied by GDT or before the date of the course, whichever is the sooner.
2.3 Until the price has been paid in full GDT shall be entitled to refuse to deliver any undelivered part of the Certification Renewal Product and to withhold any certificates that would otherwise be due upon completion of the Certification Renewal Product.
3 CANCELLATION RIGHTS
3.1 Buyer Cancellation Rights in respect of Certification Renewal Products
3.1.1 The Buyer may cancel up to two weeks in advance of a scheduled Certification Renewal Exam and receive 100% refund.
3.1.2 The Buyer may cancel between one and two weeks in advance of a scheduled Certification Renewal Exam and receive 50% refund.
3.1.3 No refunds will be given in the event of the Buyer’s cancellation less than a full week in advance of a scheduled Certification Renewal Exam or in the event of non-attendance.
3.2 GDT Cancellation Rights
3.2.1 GDT may cancel or alter dates. GDT will notify the Buyer with as much notice as possible of any proposed change or cancellation. In such a situation the Buyer may agree an alternate date or opt to receive a full refund in respect of the elements for which the date has been cancelled or altered, but no other financial compensation will be payable by GDT for any reason.
4 TERMS FOR THE BUYER
4.1 The Buyer accepts and agrees that;
4.1.1 candidates will be provided the necessary Certification Renewal Exam revision material by GDT as a digital PDF unless otherwise stated, will be required to sit a theory examination and complete, if required, practical training and/or assessments in order to be recertified to the relevant CAA standard.
4.1.2 additional charges will be payable in respect of candidates who do not complete their theory examination with GDT within three months of GDT providing the Certification Renewal Exam revision material.
4.1.3 additional charges will be payable in respect of candidates who do not complete any applicable practical training and assessments within three months of the completing their theory examination.
4.1.4 candidates will be permitted 75 minutes for the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate renewal theory examination and 30 minutes for the A2 Certificate of Competence renewal theory examination
4.1.4 additional charges will be payable in respect of any candidate who has to re-sit a theory course because the required standard was not attained in the first attempt of the theory examination
4.1.5 if an additional practical assessment of a candidate’s competence level is required it will incur a charge of £267.50 plus VAT and reasonable travel expenses.
4.1.6 it must meet any current CAA requirements (as it will be advised by GDT during the initial booking and theory examination) for the issuance of certificates in addition to the completion of the Certification Renewal.
4.1.7 certificates from GDT (for certificates not directly issued by the CAA) will be provided within one working week of successful completion of all Certification Renewal stages. Where the Buyer fails to provide GDT with candidate name(s) and Flyer ID details exactly as they appear on the Flyer ID in order for GDT to issue certificates requiring the certificates to be reissued, a fee of £15 plus VAT will be charged for each reissued certificate.
4.1.8 for Online Certification Renewal, all the information about their Certification Renewal, including links to the online exam booking form, and pre-requisites for the Certification Renewal will be found on the GDT portal, myglobaldronetraining.com. Once booked onto a course the Buyer will receive a welcome email with instructions for accessing the GDT portal.
4.1.9 for Onsite Certification Renewal, the delivery of the Certification Renewal Exams will take place at the address and on the day(s) agreed upon by the Buyer and GDT. Proposed locations are subject to a satisfactory site survey and risk assessment by GDT.
4.1.10 it will incur additional charges in the event that GDT personnel are requested to return to the delivery location by reason of a candidate’s failure to attend the delivery of the Certification Renewal Exams or the Buyer requesting additional sessions.
